During this 4-week internship, Discoverers will have the opportunity to experience the Design phase of the product development cycle, develop foundational skills while gaining mentorship from Microsoft employees and community building. You will discover how your passions can evolve into a career in tech at Microsoft and beyond.

 

Seattle Youth Employment Program

ISB Research Internship

One of the key objectives of ISB involves transferring knowledge gained through research to the community for the benefit of society. A second objective is to inspire, prepare and diversify the next generation of researchers.

 

Teens in Public Service (TIPS) Internship 

Teens In Public Service (TIPS) is dedicated to producing future leaders committed to their communities by connecting teens with life-changing opportunities and internships at nonprofit organizations.

Girls Who Code offers a wide range of programs designed to support female students in persisting in their computer science education and succeeding in their first internships and jobs.

 

Fred Hutch Research Internship 

The Summer High School Internship Program (SHIP) is a competitive, eight-week, full-time paid internship for students between 11th and 12th grade. The program is specifically designed for students from backgrounds underrepresented in biomedical science. The internship begins with two weeks of hands-on training on laboratory safety techniques and skills in the Fred Hutch Training Labs.  For the remaining six weeks, interns are paired and immersed in mentored activities in a Fred Hutch research group in Seattle. Interns also participate in research seminars, attend professional development workshops focused on college and careers, and enjoy social activities with their teams and peers. The program culminates with presentations to the Fred Hutch community.

 

Seattle Children’s Research Training Program for High School Students

Seattle Children’s Research Institute is committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce, and inspiring the next generation of scientists, physicians and healthcare workers. During the summer, our Science Education Department offers high school students the opportunity to learn more about biomedical research.

 

Seattle City Light Internship

Interested in exploring the business of energy production and distribution? City Light provides high school internships that allow you to get a paid, hands-on experience with the business of the utility.

 

Clean Water Ambassadors Internship

The Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust partners with King County Wastewater Treatment Division offer a paid internship experience for a cohort of high school interns to learn about local environmental issues, solutions, and careers focused on clean water in our region.

 

KEXP’s Internship Program

KEXP’s Internship Program seeks to provide interns from historically under-invited and under-represented communities with hands-on experience in the nonprofit arts sector. Our program is designed to develop and equip emerging leaders – interested in furthering their careers – in a variety of fields including music programming, audio production, and nonprofit capacity building.

 

UW Botanic Gardens Internship

Are you interested in exploring careers in environmental fields? They are looking for curious, creative, and enthusiastic teens with a commitment to community and equity to join our Summer 2024 intern cohort! No previous experience in environmental issues required.

Biomanufacturing Training Program

Are you a rising junior or rising senior passionate about science and interested in launching a career in STEM? Our Biomanufacturing Training Program for High School Students offers hands-on training in biomanufacturing, a rapidly growing and exciting field that utilizes cutting-edge science to provide therapeutics for disease treatment. This program will provide you the unique experience of performing lab work at an industry site and interacting with industry mentors from leading biopharmaceutical companies in the Seattle area.

 

Seattle Public Library Student Assistant Program

The Student Assistant Program provides jobs for high school, G.E.D., undergraduate and vocational school students to gain work experience in a public library. Student Assistant positions are available at the Central Library and branches throughout Seattle.
