Applications for World Learning’s Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program (IYLEP) summer 2023 are due on February 1, 2023.

Funded by U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program (IYLEP) is a fully funded (free!) domestic travel opportunity for U.S. and Iraqi high school students to travel together for about 4-weeks in Vermont, Washington, DC, and other U.S. locations.

Participants engage in experiential learning activities and workshops that increase their knowledge of civic engagement and intercultural communication as well as live with a host family in the U.S. Past host communities include Louisville, Kentucky; Tulsa, Oklahoma, or Portland, Oregon.

The program offers a certificate of completion and access to the U.S. Department of State alumni network.
