Summer STEM Camp 2020

Summer Camp 2020

This year, all of our summer camps will take place online, with a focus on “Technology, Environment & The City”. The objective is for students to understand how environmental science and city planning can intersect to create smart cities through the use of new technologies.

All materials will be provided by Seattle MESA. Access (or lack, thereof) to technology should not be a barrier for this opportunity.

This is a two-week session, Monday-Friday, 2-3 hours a day.  Half of the time will be spent working independently on an on-going smart cities project and the other half will be spent interacting online as a cohort with other students and the STEM facilitators.

By the end of the session, students will have an experience with environmental science, urban planning, communications, and wiring and coding their own Arduino circuit board.

No experience is necessary for any of these subjects, just a curious mind and a thirst for knowledge!
